Awesome 2014 White Burg Offer - FONTAINE GAGNARD!

Greatest vintage of this century!! A collectors and connoisseurs vintage! Please don't miss!!

Dear Oenophile,

2014 is for hardcore Burg enthusiasts...a vintage that will age gorgeously and continue to improve for decades! We snagged this small but sexy parcel of Fontaine Gagnard at TERRIFIC pricing --- all I can say is HURRY! IN STOCK!

2014 FONTAINE GAGNARD CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET VIEILLES VIGNES -- $55!!!

2014 FONTAINE GAGNARD CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET LE CAILLERETS -- $85!! V94, WA93

V94: "Light, bright yellow. High-pitched perfume of white peach, pear, crushed rock, ginger and lime blossom. Painfully intense and brisk, with terrific salty mineral cut enlivening the peach and pear fruit flavors. Sharply delineated and brisk but with the density of the vintage's better example. This highly concentrated, refined premier cru finishes with terrific rising length and palate-staining minerality. Has the grip to support a long evolution in the bottle, but even today this very youthful wine has no rough edges."

2014 FONTAINE GAGNARD CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET LA ROMANEE -- $105! V93, WA93

WA93: "The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru la Romanee was showing more fruit intensity than the Caillerets when I tasted it from barrel, hints of citrus peel, Mirabelle and jasmine gently wafting from the glass. The palate is crisp and taut with the edginess of the Boudriotte, demonstrating the same weight and intensity on the finish that is long and satisfying. This is a harmonious, engaging and `complete` Chassagne-Montrachet."

ABOUT FONTAINE GAGNARD: Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard is one of the finest and most important producers in the village of Chassagne-Montrachet. The domaine has its origin in the fine Gagnard-Delagrange holdings of forty-five years ago, as the vineyards hail from the marriage of Richard Fontaine to Jacques Gagnard’s oldest daughter, Laurence Gagnard, in 1982. The Gagnard family has always been very closely-knit, and much of the vineyard work amongst the various branches of the family continues to be done together. The style of the wines at Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard is for intense, racy, deep and complex Chassagnes that start out life classically balanced and accessible, but always with fine expressions of terroir and the underlying structure to age gracefully as well. The wines are always focused and detailed, and are generally aged in about a third new oak for the premier crus and a bit more for the grand crus.
