SCARECROW, DANCING HARES, HARLAN....! 98+-100 pointers only!

Dear Oenophile,

All of the wines in this offering are hot off the press, no-brainer collectibles of course, but the latest release from Dancing Hares (winemaker Andy Erickson, recently acquired by Tuck Beckstoffer, and 98+ from Parker) is the one I'm most curious to try...here's what we have...FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED...WOODEN CASES ON REQUEST!

2013 DANCING HARES CABERNET SAUVIGNON --  $209!! RP98+

RP98+: "Their flagship wine, the 2013 Proprietary Red Dancing Hares is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The color is a saturated ruby/purple, the nose sightly more restrained than the Mad Hatter, but intense, deep and promising. The wine is extremely full-bodied, with notes of chocolate, espresso, crème de cassis, licorice and blackberry, this has killer intensity, super full-bodied richness, but is relatively light on its feet for this kind of mass and richness. This is a fabulous wine and certainly a great 2013, which is saying something in a vintage that is this incredible. Drink it over the next 15-20 years."

2012 HARLAN ESTATE --- $999! RP99+

RP99+: "The 2012 Harlan Estate is reminiscent of their 2002. Probably a candidate for perfection with another 4-5 years of bottle age, the wine is inky plum/purple to the rim and offers a gorgeous nose of scorched earth, blackberry and cassis, forest floor, and a floral, lavender-like component followed by deep, opulent, majestic flavors that caress the palate with high but sweet tannin. This is relatively evolved, and supple and voluptuous for a young Harlan estate – hence the comparison with their compelling 2002. This wine can be drunk in several years and is likely another candidate for 30-50 years of cellaring."

2013 SCARECROW ---  $595!! RP100

RP100: "The prodigious 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, including fruit from some of the oldest Cabernet vines still in existence in Napa. This full-bodied classic displays notes of forest floor, earth, crème de cassis, blackberry liqueur, licorice and some pen ink. It is dense, full-bodied, prodigiously rich, massive in intensity, yet relatively light on its feet. This great ballerina of a wine has extraordinary ripeness but pulls back from the edge before going over the top. There are 1,000 cases of this classic, which should age effortlessly for 30+ years."
