Henri Boillot Meursault les Genevrieres 2011, 750mL (WA95-97) from The BPW - Merchants of rare and fine wines.

Henri Boillot Meursault les Genevrieres

750mL

Vintage: 2011
Region: France--Burgundy--White
Appellation: Meursault, Cote de Beaune

WA95-97
Rated 95-97 points by Robert Parker`s Wine Advocate: `The 2011 Meursault Les Genevrieres is without question one of the very finest wines aging in the cellar. An exotic, captivating bouquet melds seamlessly into layers of fruit as this deeply textured, indescribably beautiful wine continues to open up in the glass. Layers of flint, crushed rocks, smoke and slate support the breathtaking, crystalline finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014+.` -- Antonio Galloni in the Wine AdvocateAdditional Notes from the Wine Advocate: `Henri Boillot recently finished his move to a new modern cellar in Champ Lins, one of the industrial sections of Meursault. Boillot describes his 2011s as having a bit more richness and better balance of fruit and acidity than the 2010s. Based on what I tasted, it`s hard to argue that point. Boillot seems to be one case where the 2011s have the potential to be better across the board than the 2010s. As is often the case here, the village wines are particularly strong.`
