Rated 90-92 points by the Burghound: `(a 1 ha blend of Groseilles, Baudes, Noirots and Gruenchers, which interestingly are all bunched together, geographically speaking). Here the nose is ever-so-slightly riper and a bit more deeply pitched as well as there are notes of red and blue fruit that is nuanced with hints of violet and stone. There is good richness and tension to the medium-bodied flavors that possess good mid-palate density, all wrapped in an energetic and refined finish. Worth your consideration.` -- Allen MeadowsMore information from the Burghound: `Francois Bertheau, who manages this 6.2 ha domaine (half of which is in villages level vineyards), said, in his typically understated manner that 2010 is a `very agreeable vintage. We began picking on the 25th of September and brought in reasonably clean fruit that did require some sorting work. Potential alcohols were better than acceptable at between 12.5 and 13.5% though yields were notably lower than we enjoyed in 2009. There was a high incidence of shot berries though actually less than we experienced in 2011. Overall, I would describe the style of the 2010s as a marriage of 2008 and 2009, which means that they should be popular with my clients.` The Bertheau 2010s are potentially stunning wines and while there are very few bargains coming out of Chambolle-Musigny these days, this domaine actually does offer a good source of relative value. As to the Bertheau 2009s, they have virtually all scored at or above my originally predicted ranges so they too should be on your shopping list. The present plan is to bottle in February and March 2012.`
