Rated 92 points by Robert Parker`s Wine Advocate: `The 2009 Blanco is pure Verdejo aged for 10 months in French oak, sourced from pre-phylloxera, 160 to 180-year-old vines that must be wondering exactly when they can retire. Let's hope not yet, because it has a lovely bouquet with apricot blossom, almond paste and a hint of toffee apple. The palate is medium-bodied with a kick of spice and rhubarb on the entry. It has superb acidity with great precision; tightly coiled but then expanding on the focused finish with hints of beeswax and lemongrass. As usual, this is an impressive white Rueda with as much intellectual as sensory satisfaction. Ossian is the joint venture between Javier Zaccagnini of Aalto fame and Ismael Gozalo who has farmed his vineyards organically for over 15 years. I have tasted their wines a number of times in the past and nailed my views to the mast when I commented that the aromatics reminded me of a Coche-Dury.`
