Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Quet 2010, 750mL (WA100) from The BPW - Merchants of rare and fine wines.

Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Quet

750mL

Vintage: 2010
Region: France--Rhone--Chateauneuf du Pape
Appellation: Chateauneuf du Pape
Condition: swisl

WA100
Rated 100 points by Robert Parker`s Wine Advocate: `The remarkable 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Quet boasts a dark ruby/purple color along with a stunning bouquet of spring flowers, cranberries, black raspberries, blueberries, forest floor, incense and bouquet garni. The wine builds incrementally in the mouth, and the finish lasts nearly a minute. This amazingly full-bodied, gorgeously pure Chateauneuf du Pape has everything one could desire in a dry red wine. Enjoy it over the next 20+ years.` -- Robert Parker in the 11/1/2012 issue of the Wine AdvocateAdditional Notes from Robert Parker`s Wine Advocate: `This tiny 22-acre estate situated in the northern tier of Chateauneuf du Pape was founded in 1950, but has been brought to brilliance by Chaussy family over the last decade. Daniel Chaussy deserves enormous credit for introducing the spectacular Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Quet as well as the Chateauneuf du Pape Le Tintot, which is 100% Mourvedre. Both the 2007 and 2010 Cuvee du Quet have garnered perfect scores, and the latter wine may be the wine of the vintage. Sadly, only 5,000 bottles are produced of this extraordinary blend of 80% Grenache (aged in neutral tanks) and 20% Mourvedre (aged in small oak casks).`
