Domaine Lucie et Auguste Lignier Clos de la Roche 2009, 1.5L (WA93-95) from The BPW - Merchants of rare and fine wines.

Domaine Lucie et Auguste Lignier Clos de la Roche

1.5L

Vintage: 2009
Region: France--Burgundy--Red
Appellation: Morey St. Denis, Cote de Nuits

WA93-95
Rated 93-95 points by Robert Parker`s Wine Advocate: `The 2009 Clos de la Roche is a marvelous, complete wine. There is plenty of intensity in the dark fruit, while the aromatics emerge with great clarity as the wine fills out its broad frame. Ash, white flowers and menthol add complexity to the building, powerful finish. This is a terrific effort from Kellen Lignier. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029.` -- Antonio Galloni in the Wine Advocate.Additional Notes from the Wine Advocate: `Kellen Lignier farms a total of 8.3 hectares. Her 2009s are notable for their freshness and verve. Not surprisingly, Lignier harvested on the early side. Unfortunately I was not able to taste the Charmes, but I did taste a number of 2008s. Readers will find those notes on www.erobertparker.com.`
